dbv network GmbH, Berlin repositions itself

In future, dbv network will focus on the profitable, growing business areas of eLearning and trade fairs. The print titles of dbv network GmbH will be sold to the media companies Deutscher Landwirtschaftsverlag and Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster on September 1, 2025.

As of September 1, 2025, the print titles of dbv network GmbH will be sold to the media companies Deutscher Landwirt-schaftsverlag GmbH, Hanover and Landwirtschaftsverlag GmbH, Münster. From now on, Deutscher Landwirtschaftsverlag GmbH will publish the Bauernzeitung and the Deutsche Bienen-Journal. Landwirtschaftsverlag GmbH, Münster, takes over the gardening titles GartenFlora and Grün. Both buyers belong to the group of companies owned by the shareholders of dbv network GmbH. Antitrust approval is still pending.

“Concentrating on the profitable and growing business areas of eLearning and trade fairs is of great importance for dbv network in order to secure its future. I would like to thank my colleagues at dbv network for their many years of successful service to the company,” said Hubertus Beringmeier, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of dbv network GmbH. As part of the sale, dbv network GmbH will also divest itself of its stake in Hektar Nektar GmbH and HK Hobby- und Kleintierzüchter Verlagsgesellschaft mbh & Co KG.

Lothar Meier, Managing Director of dbv network GmbH since 2017 and with the company since 2005, will be leaving the company on December 31, 2025. The shareholders and the Supervisory Board would like to expressly thank Mr. Meier for his successful management of the company in recent years. Mr Meier has not only succeeded in stabilizing the print products in economically challenging times. He has also driven forward the integration of eLeDia - a leading provider of eLearning - into dbv network with great commitment and vigor. The eLearning activities are the company's most profitable.

In future, dbv network GmbH will continue to develop the eLearning and trade fair business areas with its subsidiaries eLeDia GmbH, Berlin and E.G.E. European Exhibition GmbH, Berlin. Dr. Johannes Moskaliuk, Managing Director of eLeDia GmbH since 2024, will also take over the management of dbv network GmbH with effect from 01.09.2025.
