Deutsche Medien-Manufaktur (DMM), a subsidiary of Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster, is further expanding its brand portfolio: The publishing house for Land, Living and Food is taking over the magazines GartenFlora and Grün as of September 1, 2025. Both titles were previously published by dbv network, a joint venture between Deutscher Landwirtschaftsverlag and Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster.

Malte Schwerdtfeger, Managing Director of Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster and DMM: “We are delighted and proud that the traditional brands GartenFlora and Grün are joining us with their competent, passionate journalists. Both magazines, GartenFlora and Grün, are doing extremely well in the market. They fit perfectly into our range around our flagship Landlust and complement it perfectly. This makes DMM even more distinctive as a house of strong brands in the areas of Land, Living and Food.”

“Jobs were also particularly important to us in this takeover, because as a company we have a social responsibility as well as an economic one. That is why we want to transfer the entire print editorial team of GartenFlora to Deutsche-Medien Manufaktur,” emphasizes Hubertus Beringmeier, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster.

Alongside “Mein schöner Garten”, GartenFlora is the leading traditional brand in the gardening magazine segment - and one of the highest-circulation magazines of its kind in Germany with more than 73,000 subscriptions. The origins of GartenFlora go back to the “Allgemeine deutsche Garten-Zeitung”, which was founded in 1823 and focused on horticulture. In September 2011, GartenFlora merged with the magazine FLORA Garten (formerly Gruner +Jahr) to form today's GartenFlora.
