Reinhard Geissel, long-time publisher of top agrar, is leaving Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster on December 31, 2025. The agricultural engineer can look back on a 32-year career at the agricultural publishing house. Starting as a trainee on October 1, 1993, he went on to serve as assistant to the management, managing director of two subsidiary publishing houses, and project manager/publisher of profi – Magazin für professionelle Agrartechnik, profi international, top agrar, and other national media brands. He played a key role in the national and international development of profi. Under his commercial responsibility, the event business of “top agrar” was greatly expanded and new cross-media formats were introduced.

As managing director of Max-Eyth-Verlagsgesellschaft mbH, which publishes the “DLG-Mitteilungen” newsletter, he headed the joint venture between Landwirtschaftsverlag and DLG-Verlag in Frankfurt am Main from 2001 to 2021.

From 2012 to 2017, Reinhard Geissel was managing director of Agri Publishing International Ltd., the English subsidiary of Landwirtschaftsverlag. During his tenure, he successfully licensed “profi” in the UK, Poland, the Baltic states, and Turkey.

'Reinhard Geissel has always driven his diverse projects forward with entrepreneurial thinking, great creativity, and total commitment. In addition to his in-depth expertise, this valued team player benefited from his trustworthiness and diplomatic skills. Landwirtschaftsverlag owes Reinhard Geissel a great deal and wishes him all the best for the future,' says Dr. Ludger Schulze Pals, paying tribute to the skills and achievements of the long-standing publisher.

Reinhard Geissel is leaving the company by mutual agreement in order to pursue his own professional projects.
