To mark its anniversary, the media company is launching the campaign “Shaping the Future Together,” which highlights how important the agricultural and food industries are to our country, how beautiful and valuable rural life is, and how urban and rural areas can benefit from one another.

Münster, October 7, 2026. In 1946, three farmers founded a publishing house to publish the “Landwirtschaftliche Wochenblatt für Westfalen und Lippe” (Agricultural Weekly for Westphalia and Lippe). Eighty years later, it has evolved into an international media and services group that today operates in four European countries, offering nearly 50 trade publications for agriculture and food, consumer media that provide inspiration for a good life, as well as digital services for rural areas and across the entire food value chain. On October 8, 2026, the group will celebrate this success story with its key business partners from industry, associations, and politics.

“We don’t want to engage in navel-gazing. Above all, we want to look ahead so that we can learn from our shared development and experience for the future,” says Hubertus Beringmeier, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Landwirtschaftsverlag. “What this country so desperately lacks right now is optimism about the future and trust in our nation’s institutions. Conveying this optimism and regaining this trust is not just the responsibility of governments, political parties, and parliaments. It is also the responsibility of businesses, the media, and all citizens of this country. As a media company, we bear a special responsibility in this regard. That is why we have chosen the motto “Shaping the Future Together” for our anniversary.

At the heart of the campaign is a specially created anniversary website where Landwirtschaftsverlag and other partners will work together over the coming months to provide positive momentum for the agricultural and food industries and for the many people who make their living from them and through our products. “With this, we want to highlight just how important the agriculture and food industries are for our country and bring them into the spotlight. At the same time, we’re emphasizing how beautiful and valuable rural life is and how urban and rural areas can benefit from one another. As Landwirtschaftsverlag, we see this as our mission, and it is particularly close to our hearts,” says Malte Schwerdtfeger, Managing Director of Landwirtschaftsverlag, describing the initiative. “To kick off the campaign, we have twelve well-known companies from the agriculture and food industry on board: Bayer Crop Science, CLAAS, Heidemark, Horsch, Krone, KWS, LVM Insurance, Nestlé, the Premium Food Group, the REWE Group, R+V Insurance, and Westfleisch. Together with them, over the next few months, we will promote a positive vision of the future on the anniversary website and across Landwirtschaftsverlag’s major media channels, showcasing the contributions we will make toward the dynamic development of our industry and, thereby, toward a good quality of life,” explains Dr. Ludger Schulze Pals, Managing Director of Landwirtschaftsverlag, outlining the next steps. “We thank our partners—who, like us, look positively toward the future and are participating in this crucial campaign—for their commitment. And, of course, other companies may jump on board and become part of the campaign in the coming months.”

To kick off the campaign on October 8, Judith Barbolini from the rheingold Institute will explore what truly moves people and what that means for brands, media, and trust. Following that, Peter Müller (Bayer Crop Science), Andres Ruff (Heidemark), Maximilian-Ferdinand von Korff (CLAAS), Anke Stübing (Nestlé), Dr. Carolin Weyers (REWE Group), and Jochen Westermann (Westfleisch) will discuss the implications this has for the agricultural and food industries. A summary of the results, key takeaways, and photos from the event can also be found on the anniversary website 80-jahre.lv.de/.
